Despite the fact that I should be buying wardrobes and tables and storage to get rid of the boxes in my new home, I started with some adorable little deco stuff (#carulinainteaboilor). Recently I stumbled upon this new home deco online-shop, based in Romania (!!!), run by some nice Romanians (!!!), and I had a near epileptic reaction (in a good way :)). Breathless and with increased blood pressure, I pushed the buttons as quick as I could and ordered the first items out of a huge array of categories and objects. “The Home” features beautiful Scandinavian, French, German and Italian design, for the kitchen, bath, garden, living and bedroom and even for your…dog. There’s no way to land on their website and leave empty handed. I especially love the natural materials objects (marble and wood) …

Today has been a good day! After cooling a little bit down after my weekend, I gave it today another try. Bucharest is as beautiful and worth-visit as any other city in this whole wide world during events like the Romanian Design Week. If you haven’t been part of it yet, just leave whatever you are doing, and go out, visit, enjoy and soak in the creativity boiling throughout our capital. There’s still time until the 25th of May, with lots of exhibitions, experiments and events lasting the entire week, the Architecture Studios Night today, the Art Galleries Night on Friday, “Art Safari” art fair having opened yesterday and running till Sunday. Last year I did tour the week with my friend Raluca, and this year we joined again for spending some quality time together. Hmm, …

The events and exhibitions during the Romanian Design Week were on my priority list this weekend and I was very much looking forward to them. Nevertheless as “planul de-acasa nu se potriveste cu cel din targ”, my Saturday turned into a half-nightmare, my car being the reason behind the whole drama. Long story, short version, I am a walking driving encyclopedia of stupid incidents/accidents as a driver. I could write a book “Me, my car and our twisted relationship”. Far from being really a danger on the streets (Or so I would say…) – so don’t panic if we meet and I am behind the wheel –  I am always squeezing sooo many tasks into one single day, that I end up being constantly in a crazy hurry switching between jobs and roles, private and professional. …

I’m kind of addicted to following blogs on Bloglovin’. Domaine Home is just one in many. (Thank God for the “Like” tool and for Pinterest, otherwise I’d be lost with all the inspiration  I need storage for). Well, reading on Domaine Home about this library in San Francisco, been pimped, a certain detail caught my attention in an intriguing way. Do you guess which one? Yeah, the “all white” books! Besides that the trick is close to genius, for highlighting the beautiful wood panels, it’s kind of intriguing, don’t you think? I admit that all kind of colors and dimension would not have complimented the background as the white PAINTED books do, but it’s a library for God’s sake!. I just hope that Elle Decor got it all wrong, and misquoted some information, meaning that the …

My name is Anna, and I am a…Coca-Cola addict. Correction: I used to be a Coca-Cola addict. Not having Coca-Cola around, usually to serve my other addiction, smoking, was a sure recipe for a bad day. Embarrassing I know, but we’re not perfect. Well, maybe you are! 🙂 Anyway, that taste! Those bubbles! I used to love them, and I still do 🙂 but now, I just drink Coca-Cola once in a while, especially when going out, in the evenings. The energy boost it gives, is good for resisting on high heels at a long party. I guess you noticed, I am still “talking” like an addict. I need more than my own will and intention, to resist at night-parties. 🙂 For the time when I was drinking it daily, and getting all those judging glances …

A few years ago I saved this picture to my computer, in my “shopping inspiration” folder. As I hate to buy things that need to be adjusted, or worse, to visit several times a tailor to have something custom made, both due to extreme lack of time, it just remained a picture on my computer. Until today. I found it! White – check, low cut back – check, ribbon – check. Our good old friend, Zara, has it in the summer collection.

One of my relatively recent resolutions was to get rid of all  many strings that kept me moving slowly and cautiously through life. Taking risks was not so much my thing a long period of time. Over-thinking every decision I had to take, led to procrastination, unfulfilled plans and frustration. Fear of failure kept me for years in the same place with the same big dreams that remained…dreams. Fear of being ridiculous, paralyzed my creative flow. Outdated life paradigms prevented me to see chances. Nevertheless, all those fears happened within some kind of lucid observation and objective introspection of the triggers of my feelings and behaviors, and eventually a critical mass of reasoning led to a breakthrough. So! I built this website and started the blog, I started talking about what I love and what I …

This post is probably no big news to most of you, Sarah Jessica Parker’s unusual interview, a pretext for a home tour, or maybe a home tour, a pretext for an interview. It has been all over the internet in the last few days, but bear with me, and read one more person’s opinion on SJP’s townhouse in New York (actually ground floor). Ok, here we go! I like: 1.SJP’s town house in New-fucking-York, pardon the French. (And I could stop here!) 2.wood floors, doors and high ceilings 3. green couch 4. art filled walls 5. antiques 6. books, books, books 7. the eclecticism of her home I don’t like: – the carpet on the stairs – the non-curated book shelves That’s pretty much it. 🙂

When I first started to put this interior design blog together, a few months ago, I realized I had to understand first what lies behind a successful and inspiring blog. Quality content is probably the most important factor, but than there are all the technical details that along with the content transform the experience of reading a blog into a pleasure. My information on this technical stuff, design tools, ease of use, browsers compatibility, SEO, coding, Google Analytics, key words, traffic, themes and themes limitations was minimal. Yes, I know this is not suppose to be my job, but in order to put the right questions you have to know what you are speaking about and to understand what you expect from the people who are doing the job. (BTW, the people who did the job …
