This post should be all about a makeover, just that I don’t have any pictures of the “Before” status of the room. Trust me though. The transformation is dramatic. The former set-up was “sooo nineties”. 🙂
Painting the walls was the most difficult part of the project. The previous white walls were just white, showing no visible spots or repairs that could have influenced the darker paint we intended to use. But once the grey paint applied, all the imperfections of the walls popped up, so we had to start all over again, leveling the walls out before applying more coats of paint, than planned. With all the vices of those walls, the paint was not the best either, at least in this shade of grey, therefore I am not sure with what we started and with what we ended to achieve something reasonable, so I will not name a supplier.
It’s been a while since we finished this room, but I still get very excited when I see those stripes framing the grey, intimate room with pops of yellow. It’s a fact. I love the white/grey/black/yellow palette. And I love stripes.
pain painting job, it took us about two weeks to tackle the project, due to some longer delivery terms (bed and rug).
Being a guys bedroom, I refrained from to many colors, but yellow is such a gender neutral one but still bright and modern. It’s in the dressings doors, nightstand, the decorative pillows, rug and inside the lampshades. All the rest is a combination of black, white and grey in various textures and darker or lighter shades. Not fifty! 🙂
